Course Description:
This course is designed to introduce students to more advanced concepts and practices in the integration of web-based technology within curriculum-based topics and business practices. Emphasis is placed on the practical application of web 2.0 tools to enhance learning in educational and business environments.
Purpose:
The course will provide an advanced study of computer / web-based technologies emerging in today’s global community. A particular emphasis will be placed on the use of web 2.0 tools in collaborative learning environments and workplaces.
Resources / Prerequisites:
Each student must have regular access to an Internet accessible computer with word processing capabilities.
Students may be asked to download / access articles and free web-based software and authoring tools for evaluative purposes.
